Thursday, 21st July 2011Agents Aubrey Lee have been acquiisitoned to find new tenants for the Hellfire building from 2012 as Hellfire clubs LTD will not be renewing the lease. It is at present uncertain as to the future of the Hellfire, whether it will continue to trade as a horror theme restaurant or indeed as a restaurant at all as Aubrey Lee are taking all offers even from speculators seeking alternative use for the building.
Owner Dave Butler is planning on returning to Ibiza next year to start a new venture, so is unable to carry on running the business and thought this might be a good opportunity to find new tenants to adopt the iconic building, which is simply one of the greatest buildings in Manchester in which to live. and work.
If it becomes apparent that the new tenants do not want to continue the concept then the Hellfire may well be relocated either to the city centre or abroad, possiblly with Dave to Ibiiza.
Plans to offer xhares to the 1300 strong membership of the Hellfire, to allow it to become a community run venue are still active but would be unlikely to offer the clean break that Dave is looking for to allow him to commit to his new venture.
Emailing difficulties have meant that the administrators have been unable to announce the development to members in the monthly newsletters but they are assured all bookings will be honoured until Christmas 2011

"hi Dave I think it is only fair to say that although our numbers were not what we expected and we ended up being a smaller party than I would have wished for the food the service and basically everything was more than wished for in short I would like to say to you and your staff thank you thank you thank you we all really enjoyed our visit to you the food was great although there were not enough of us to eat it all the service could not be faulted and more importantly to me and my partner the night was a success for my daughter.They say you cannot buy memories but sometimes you have to spend to create them and thank you again you have helped me and my partner create a memory to be treasured by my daughter.
