Hellfire Club - Fais ce que tu voudrais
The Hellfire Club was the popular name for what is supposed to have been an exclusive English club, established by Sir Francis Dashwood, which met regularly from 1746 to around 1760 as an extension of the Society of Dilettanti.
The members called each other brothers and referred to Dashwood as Abbot; Female guests were usually nuns. The club motto was "fais ce que tu voudrais" (Do what that wilt) a motto used by Aleister Crowley in later years, the greatest occultist of this century and a poet, he was dubbed ‘The Wickedest Man in the World’’ and was said to be the devil on earth.
The list of supposed members of the original Hellfire is immense; among the more probable candidates are John Wilkes and John Montagu 4th Earl of Sandwich, whatever the nature the first Hellfire Club, there is no question that the activities of Lord Dashwood were highly popular and he was well respected within his brotherhood.
The modern day Hellfire is club is for all ladies and gentlemen from all walks of life, a place to escape and become all you want, to be free to express who you are and to dine in style. A place for the modern brotherhoods and sisterhoods to unit and become creatures of the night, so enjoy and delight for tonight is your night.
