The first of many gigs in what would be a busy old year! Kurt Cobain was dead and the grunge scene he had helped create was dying too. 'Guitar' music was going 'Indie', but through a sea of Oasis pretenders stood a band not afraid of it's 70's Rock influence. So, in dozens of local pubs through the north of England, Marshall Gill, Lee Buckle and Neil Wardleworth played their hearts out.

From Cream's 'Crossroads' to Hendrix's 'Redhouse' to Floyd's 'Time', few bands could match the intensity, passion and craft 'Crosswire' achieved. After 9 months of gigs including The Matthew St Festival in Liverpool, outside Portland Tower in Manchester, Oldham Carnival and countless 'boozers', the band parted ways with Lee. In came accomplished local musician 'Starch' on Bass guitar. The band recorded an E.P at Rochdale's now lost 'Suite 16' studio in December 1995. With these original tracks, including 'Control' and 'Flying again', and a host of classic covers, Crosswire again gigged their way through 1996, until splitting up later that year....

CROSSWIRE NOW.... Older! Wiser?? Better! Past it? Loving it? What the f*$K is 'it' anyway?!?! Hold on to whatever you wish to hold on to, Crosswire is coming soon, and these boys ain't done yet!!!
